A B O U T

I was lucky enough to come from a musical family and by the age of 14 had started learning the guitar and spent hours every night in my bedroom learning my favourite songs. I started playing acoustic covers in Rotorua before I left for university.

I completed an Audio Engineering Diploma from the School of Audio Engineering in Auckland in 2005, the same year I met Phil Edwards and together we created The Phil Edwards Band.
In 2006, I joined NZ's legendary funk, soul & reggae band Tahuna Breaks and spent the next 6 years working on 3 albums across both bands and touring throughout NZ and Australia.

I officially signed out from Tahuna Breaks in 2013 to venture overseas where I continued playing solo at bars in Canada.
My wife and I decided to return back to New Zealand with our kids and call the Bay of Plenty home.
"Tom was the acoustic guitarist during our wedding ceremony and played absolutely beautifully. In the evening he joined forces with the DJ James and 2 horns players who blew us away. So much talent. They went above and beyond, nothing was a hassle, they sorted out our whole sound system which worked perfectly. They had everyone on the dance floor for the whole night and we couldn't have wished for more. If you are looking for something a bit different / unique to your usual wedding band, I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
